My Story
I was once an ambitious, left-brained PhD student and rising higher ed administrator. Then in 2004, a rollover car accident cracked open my being, allowing hidden psychic, intuitive, and energy-healing gifts to be revealed.
But long before that, I was deeply connected to nature and the pets I shared my home with. Dogs were my companions throughout my childhood. We exchanged unconditional love. I talked to them constantly, attuned to their needs as a Highly Sensitive Person and an empath.
The photo of me as a newly-walking toddler, butt in the air, preparing to sit on our dog Brinker still cracks me up. I wish I could find it!
Then there was Scottie (pictured in this photo with my sister Christine, my mom, and me on the right), Gem, Katie, and Ditto, the beagle-dachshund mix I rescued from a neighbor. As an adult I adopted cats…Gracie, Mackenzie, Nibsy, Grover, Scout, Prakruti and her kittens Manu and Dora. And then there was Zoe, my soulmate Golden Retriever; now Maisy, a pit-mix and Reggie, the heeler that keeps us on time for everything!
I also loved the outdoors - the woods especially. Some of my only memories as a child are of being in woods surrounding our home on Clarence Thurber Drive. My body remembers the comfort and aliveness of the woods - a simple, deep knowing about the fairies I sensed around me. The ones I talked, played, and danced with when I needed comfort.
And then, the rollover car “accident”.
Suddenly I could communicate with them clearly and directly. I could hear the food they wanted, what they wanted from their humans, where their bad behavior came from, what care they wanted when they were transitioning, and so on. They communicate a lot when they know someone is listening!
And thus began my healing work with animals, mainly pets, but occasionally wilder ones. I’ve psychically listened to their needs and wants, taking in their simple wisdom, and healing them with the energy that comes through me and flower essence mixes since 2005.
It is incredibly effective. Animals respond to energy healing beautifully – they don’t doubt the effectiveness of it like humans sometimes do. They simply receive and heal – physically and emotionally.
I’ve worked with the pets of family and friends, stray dogs and cats, and occasional birds or horses. I’ve “rescued” them, helped them find their forever homes, and supported animals through their death process – holding them and their humans as they took their last breath.
I’m so grateful for all they have taught me about living, healing, and dying. I look forward to supporting you and your pets on your journey together.
When I’m not healing pets or helping my human clients rediscover their intuition, you might find me walking the dogs in the Sonoran desert, enjoying inspirational movies, playing with crystals, traveling, or chilling out at a spa. I make my home in Tucson, Arizona with my husband Jacob, our dogs Maisy and Reggie, and our 17-year-old cat Manu.
